Tour de France 2026 – Alpine Stage Block

The most spectacular days of the 113th Tour de France take place in the French Alps from 22 to 25 July 2026. The Alpine block opens with Stage 18 (Voiron to Orcières-Merlette, 1,838 m), followed by the legendary double finish at Alpe d'Huez — an unprecedented back-to-back summit arrival that has never been seen before in Tour history.

Stage 19 (24 July) sends riders from Gap up the iconic 21-hairpin climb to Alpe d'Huez via the traditional route. Stage 20 (25 July) is the queen stage of the entire 2026 Tour: a brutal 171 km odyssey departing from Bourg-d'Oisans that tackles the Col de la Croix de Fer (24 km at 5.2%), the Col du Télégraphe (11.9 km at 7.1%), the Col du Galibier — the race's highest point at 2,642 m — and the Col de Sarenne (12.8 km at 7.3%), before a final charge to Alpe d'Huez at 1,850 m. Total elevation gain: an astonishing 5,600 metres.

With the yellow jersey decided on these Alpine giants the day before the Paris finale, Stage 20 is set to be one of the most decisive days in modern Tour de France history. The event is free to attend roadside; VIP and hospitality packages are available through the official Tour de France website.
