Milan–Sanremo 2027 – La Classicissima

Milan–Sanremo 2027 takes place on Saturday, 20 March 2027, once again on the third Saturday of March — the traditional date for the first Monument of the professional cycling season. The 2027 edition marks another chapter in the history of one of the most prestigious one-day races in the world, affectionately known as La Classicissima and La Primavera.

Following the format established in 2024, the race starts in Pavia, approximately 35 kilometres south of Milan, and heads north before rejoining the classic route. The peloton then winds its way across approximately 298 kilometres of Italian roads — the longest one-day race on the professional calendar — passing through the Passo del Turchino and along the stunning Ligurian coastline before the decisive climbs of the Cipressa and the Poggio. The race concludes on the iconic Via Roma in Sanremo.

As a road race held entirely on public roads, no entry ticket is required to watch along the route. Spectators simply choose their spot and enjoy the spectacle. VIP hospitality and finish-area packages are available through official partners. The women's edition, part of the UCI Women's World Tour, is also held on the same day.
