About the Event

Formula 1 Gran Premio d'Italia 2026 – Monza

The 2026 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix returns to the legendary Autodromo Nazionale Monza from 4 to 6 September 2026, marking Round 15 of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. One of the oldest and most iconic circuits in the world, Monza was built in just 110 days in 1922 and has hosted the Italian Grand Prix every year since 1950, with only one exception.

Known worldwide as the "Temple of Speed", Monza is the fastest circuit on the F1 calendar. Cars run at full throttle for approximately 80% of the lap, reaching speeds in excess of 350 km/h on the long start/finish straight. The track's legendary corners — the Variante del Rettifilo, Variante Ascari and the sweeping Curva Alboreto (Parabolica) — provide non-stop drama and overtaking action.

The race weekend follows the classic F1 format: two free practice sessions on Friday 4 September, qualifying on Saturday 5 September, and the Grand Prix on Sunday 6 September at 15:00 local time. Formula 2 and Formula 3 support races also feature across the weekend.

Up to 110,000 passionate fans fill the grandstands, many of them the devoted Tifosi draped in red, roaring on Ferrari at the team's home race. Set just northeast of Milan, Monza combines world-class motorsport with the rich culture and cuisine of the Lombardy region.
